Guiding True Political Reform in the State of New York
30 May
[New York State's] budget has risen 6 percent per year since 1999, more than double the rate of inflation. Medicaid spending is out of control and any attempt to revamp it – see Gov. David Paterson’s attempt and how quickly the health care union savaged him – has failed, thanks to all sorts of special interests.
Now Golisano leaves. It’s time New York takes the threat of losing affluent New Yorkers seriously. We’ve believed, and continue to argue, that wealthier residents should pay their share in taxes and that certain loopholes should be closed to ensure that happens.
But there is a limit to how much anyone can pay, and New York has reached that limit.
Golisano said he would continue his charitable endeavors in western New York.
Other philanthropists may not be as nice.

I would like to see NY split–everything east of Rte 81 area become East New York , everthing west of Rte 81 area become West New York. Let NYC, Albany and Long Island take care of themselves instead of stealing from the Western New Yorkers. Iwould also like to see a three term limit installed and perks elininated.
Dear Mr. Golisano:
While I laud your efforts to-date to reform NYS government, I would like to strongly recommend that you make at least a $15,000 no strings contribution to The leadership of, “Primary Challenge” if you really want to make a difference to improve New Yorkers’ station in life and begin to have reform in government in this state, at all levels.
Your donation will go 20 times further than where you have typically sent it in the past (individual candidates) that for the most part, really do not want to reform anything, but only want to get a piece of the pie for themselves.
Please check out “www.primarychallenge.org, then open up your checkbook and really do something that will begin to prime the pump that will enable and empower the people of New York to reclaim and reform their government.
The above not only goes for Mr. Golisano, but for anyone else reading this comment.
Sincerely,
